Day 3

Yesterday continued the fogginess to a small degree. I also still had a bit of a headache. But ths morning I feel much improved. I feel clear and focused.

The thing that’s the biggest negative about the juice fast is preparing the juice. It takes over an hour to make the juice for the next day. Peeling the oranges takes the most time. But it’s a small price to pay. I’m down 5 and ...

Juice Fast Day 2 – Yesterday was tough

Day 2

Yesterday was day one and it was a tough day. I got hit hard with the dreaded “juice fog”. Many people experience a kind of fogginess and worn out feeling the first day. I guess it’s because your body is adjusting to the dramatic change to what you’re taking in.

Day 51 an I seem to be on a bit of a plateau. I’m not panicking though. This has happened more than once fso far. Then when it breaks the pounds dop off in chunks.

This weekend was tough. We had a fairly large pool party/barbecue. I made guacamole, which was delicious. I cheated and had a few spoonfulls. I also made chicken, steak, corn, hamburgers and hot dogs. On the plus side I got to use the megagrill for the first time and was able to cook all that stuff at once. Down 30 Pounds!  Finally!

Day 42

FINALLY! Down 30 lbs. If feels great!

Today we’re having a barbecue. I will be cooking on the MEGA GRILL! Chicken, steak, hamburgers, hotdogs, homemade guacamole. But I’m sticking to the juice.

18 days to go. Ideally I’d like to lose another 16 and get under 200.

Sometimes the Scale Frustrates

DAY 40

So yesterday I was 217.8, just over one pound to go to be down 30.  I was set to celebrate a huge milestone but was disappointed with a gain of 0.4.

I realize it’s not that big of a deal and that tomorrow I may be down 1.5 points, but the lulls are frustrating when I’ve made so much progress and am sacrificing so much.

DAY 38

Continuing on.  Three weeks to go.

I finally got back into the gym this week.  I had to miss the two previous weeks because we were down a car and that threw me into commuting by train mode, which messed up my morning routine.  All better now though.  Feels good to work out again.
